An audible warning signal of three beeps continually repeated, and a lack of response to the control panel indicate the Flood Prevention System is active. The pump motor will run continually and pump out any water you put into the machine. To get some peace while you consider what to do, turn off the water supply and the mains power, then relax, because it's a simple fix. The manual says call an engineer....no need. Here is the fix.
Under the pump unit, in the base of the machine, is a plastic catch tank with a polystyrene float switch. Any water which finds its way into the tank will normally evaporate away, but if you have a leak or are using the machine much more than usual, water accumulates, the float will rise and activate the system. MAKE SURE THE POWER IS OFF!!! Remove the front panel under the door, remove the greasy water from the tank with a piece of plastic tubing and that's it. Make sure the filters and outlet pipes are nice and clean. You will see a couple of drain tubes above the tank so the machine is designed as fail safe and I reckon water gets into the tank anyway as part of the design. Make sure all the pipes are connected and there are no splits or leaks. It may be worth running the machine with the panel off as a final check, but keep safe, don't touch.
