Stannah 420 Remote Control Problem?

I just installed a used Stannah 420 stairlift. It works fine except the remote control buttons work backwards. The up button makes it go down and the down button makes it go up. How do I correct this?

I can answer my own question. There is a small circuit board at the front of the carriage/motor unit called "IR Receiver PCB (CEN)". A picture is at http://www.stairlift-spares.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=0845-7
Using an inspection mirror I found a little slide switch on the PCB board with the positions labeled LH and RH. It is in the lower right side of the picture next to the white connector. Mine was of course in the wrong position. I hope this helps somebody else.

Consider that the remote control is working correctly and that during the installation the drive to the motor was reversed. Were there any wiring tasks?

Good Luck..., January 2017
