what parts should be fitted when doing a dmf?

I have a Ford Transit Tipper 2008 the DMF is making a hell of a noise so my mate who is a top mechanic is going to strip down the gaearbow to fit a new DMF!
I was personally wandering what other parts should be fitted whilst the DMF is fitted
