my petrol cap is broken and i just cannot remove the key the cap is stuck in the open mode so cant remove the key any sugge

Maggy,
Get some WD40 and GENTLY wiggle the key left and right after spraying WD40 into every crack and crevice in the cap, including down the key as it enters the cap.
The lubricant will eventually free the gubbins inside and allow you to remove the key.
