Necht dishwasher wqp12-9319 error code E4?

My Necht dishwasher has an error code of E4 showing and will not seem to re-set. When switched on the machine sounds as though it is draining water though there is non in it. on the last cycle used the machine flooded what i think was a small amount of water of what i could see. I dont use tablets and i have re-filled the salt section. Could anyone advise me on the next move. I am begining to be rather concerned as the comments regarding Necht products are very negative. We have just moved into a new home and the kitchen appliances are all Necht. (poor us)

Turning the dishwasher on its side has worked a treat for us. Thank you! :)

We had the same problem and didn't start the machine for a few days. Repair man turned it on and away it went. He said that the water level dropped after time and the machine knew to start.

I have an Ilve same code. Worked a treat
1. remove plug from wall socket
2. bail out the water from the well using a cut down polystyrene cup
3. take the machine out from its installation, then place two towels around the machine to mop up water, then lower the machine on its side
4. replace the machine, and E4 is gone until next time...

Thanks very much for the advice. I have also just used it to good effect!

Eureka!!! it is a water level switch, its mounted on a polystyrene block on the base of the machine (front middle). when the machine overfills the water runs through the overflow pipes straight into the bottom of the machine (fantastic designing lads!)floating the polystyrene block and tripping the switch causing the fault. Simply drain the water (i used the soft 10mm tube on the side, sucking and spitting into a glass). Turn on and enjoy till next time!

It's not the level switch on mine, I've just checked it and it is switching. I can't see a reset button on the control board. Perhaps it is the door switch? Anyone know?

Mine has just done the same thing (perhaps it is an out-of-guarantee warning!!) Seriously though, I think it is related to the water level switch, the machine thinks it is flooding but cant get the level warning to go out so it stops everything. I'm just going to look, will let you know.
