Smoke smelling of electrical fire? It's a vauxhall V?

i pulled onto my drive from work, when I noticed the speedo move from 0 to 140mph then lots of smoke smelling of an electric fire, coming out of the bonnet, now when I turn the key all the lights come on as normal but the glow plug light don't go out and when I turn the key all the way as if to start it nothing happens, I've looked under and in the Engine compartment but can't find anything obvious, I need it to get to work so NEED SOME HELP PLEASE ASAP, if anyone has a idea of what it is I would VERY great full
Many Thanks kev,, oh yeah it's a 58plate vauxhall vivaro
