Check water pump is circulating water ok and also there were lots of problems with heater control valves on these,take off the passengers footwell side panel for a look and check the operation of the cables and the valve itself,might be worth removing the heater rad while you are there also and check the fins for blockage and give it a flush out too,good luck.
