how to fix?

My saw runs but blade does not move? is it worth fixing, can I try something?

Might have stripped a gear or sheared a motor shaft.

You do not say the type - make or model of your saw.

If the motor runs but the blade does not spin along with it then what you can try is tightening the fixing between blade and motor.
