Your solution saved me last night when ours started doing the same. Was going off every couple of hours, turned off the wireless thermostat and no further issues.

our alarm gave this error and the internal bell kept going off, we identified the culprit as the central heating wireless controller, the batteries needed replacing - as soon as we did, the alarm reverted to normal function .
