help. i cant see any picture on the screen or view finder when recording. i can play back other footage recorded before prob, but now only plays back sound as there is no picture in the view finder.
its a JVC GRD50 camcorder. i have had it a few yrs and no probs.
also the manual tuning icon is flashing, but its on automatic, not manual.
Any ideas

The problem is most likely your CCD sensor. A dodgy batch was used by all the manifacturers suppled by the same supplier. Check www.avforums.com or do a search for av forums and search your model. Most companies are offering free repairs even if warranty has expired due to faulty parts.

This is not an answer, but a similar problem. I have the same problem as stacey. In addition to that I have following problem.

On record mode the screen looks like it's been painted by a paintbrush. Sometimes this disappears and I can continue recording. This problem has worsened now and I could't record anything during Christmas.
