The belt is probably slipping. perhaps the bearing on an item driven by the belt is failing ( alternator/water pump etc ). change belt. check bearings by hand . tension belt correctly.

hi mate start it up and get a can of wd40 and spay it on the belt and round the cogs give it a min and it should be as good as gold
