You do not say the make or model of your camera - neither do you say what the fault is.
Technology moves on at a rapid pace - spare parts may be difficult to obtain - diagnosis and repair may cost a great deal depending on the fault. Your camera was very probably obsolete 15 years ago.
It is very doubtful that there's any place capable or willing to look at your machine.
Amazon will sell you a new digital camcorder for under £40.
