How can i check the glow plugs?

How can I check the voltage going to the glow plugs on my Skoda Fabia 1.9 diesel.

with a voltmeter, remove electrical connection switch on ignition and you should have voltage there, on modern motors some glow plugs operate on about 4-5v which is why if you are checking the glow plugs themselves to check them on an ohmmeter, use battery voltage and you could burn them out, good luck.
