can electric drill be repaired?

where you hold the drill, whille slackening or tightening for putting in or out drill bit, has broken away from front piece, can it be repaired

If yu mean the chuck has broken then yes, it could be possible to replace the chuck.

Whether it is worth it or not depends on the make and model of the drill which, for some reason, you decided we didn't need to know.

One other thing you may need to know: The screw that holds th echuck in place is often a left handed thread.
