My washing machine has 4 buttons on the front all lights flash when ever I press the start button. Have tried to unlock the child lock process by pressing buttons 1 and 3 but no luck. I've took the control panel and cleaned it but same issue. This happens no matter what program I select.

Update on this and the washer is fixed. Appears I was doing the right thing by pressing buttons 1 and 3 but the advice of 5 seconds is incorrect. It's more like 30 seconds. However it's working, and all its cost is a trip to my dad's to borrow some tools. This is a reminder to always keep a full set of star drivers in the house

Thanks for replying. I have already checked this manual. It's not that error as the program start and program end indicators arent flashing. They are set to one side. Its the start/pause button, Rinse hold button, Extra rinse button and the Easy ironing button.

You say "All the lights" flash, without naming them. I think Error 08 is what you are looking at but can't be certain.

It MAY be that new motor brushes will cure the problem.
