During the heating up and cooking cycle my Whirlpool 187/IX oven internal light goes out and the heating stops but fan runs and front panel lights are normal.

I can usually get the oven working again by banging the door closed (light on, heating resumed)

I have already replaced the rear heating element with no change to the fault.

Any ideas appreciated.
