2004 ford galaxy tdi overheating problem?

overheat warning light comes on within 10 seconds of starting up. it does not always overheat unless I do a journey in excess of 10 miles.
any help would be appreciated.

First thing is to find out if it's actually overheating,
Which I doubt as few cars ever get to temperature let alone overheat in 10 mins.
More than likely it's a faulty coolant temperature sensor.
