my Braun tooth brush shows no light whilst tryingbto charge??

I bought my first electric toothbrush this week and as no light comes on whilst charging I have no way of knowing if it is charging or when it is finished??Help.

Check the connections to the LED. Otherwise the LED might actually work but it's not charging or the charge controller is damaged.
