How can I get correct temp in oven?

I have a rangemaster elan on which I recently changed the thermostat as advised on this forum as it was not reaching any temperature over 200c .it still appears to not be reaching 220c.. is there the possibility the switch turning the oven on to the selected temperature is faulty ?? Or something else ??

Regards
Gary

If you are using the convection oven, are you sure this has only one element? If there are two and one has failed, that may restrict the temperature the oven can reach

The switch selecting the temperature is the thermostat. The function switch only selects which elements to turn on. Not getting up to set temperature would nearly always be the thermostat. Who knows what is happening without being there to test & see. You don't appear to have any test equipment or fault finding skills. I suggest you call in an expert, otherwise you could just go around in circles and spending money on unnecessary parts replacement.
