On all programmes the pump starts and empties all the water, then the water fills but does not start to rinse or wash.
Control panel has the on/off on the far right with 5 programme options to the left with red led lights - rinse, glasses, plates, plates and dishes then pans with a button to the right to select the programme.

Probably the motor capacitor.You can generally hear the motor humming.
