I have an AWZ650 Whirlpool tumble dryer and the heating has failed?

My tumble dryer does not heat up. The connectors to the heating element have corroded and look as if the have short circuited

Same thing happened to me so I bought a new heating element with thermostats from e-bay cost about £35, (you will also need new bayonet fittings). It was easy to fix just unscrew the small plate at the back holding the element. Make a note of where the wires go, the thermostat with the green on goes on the bottom.
