I think it means the water is not heating but not exactly sure. Confirm it by running fast cycle and see if water heats after you hear the soap dispenser door open. Stop dishwasher and open door to check. If not heating it could be one of many reasons. Faulty element, faulty thermostat, broken wire to element or faulty control board.
