a water hose on my car burst?

The hose burst on my jaguar xf .I only travelled a few feet will it melt the head or blow the head gasket

No, you should be ok. Just replace the hose, refill with fresh anti-freeze mix. Check your other hoses though as they'll all be the same age won't they?
