Why does my drivers door window think it is fully closed when it's not?

I have a Renault Megane Dynamique Convertible 2004 2ltr. When I was closing the roof the other day, I foolishly tried to close the drivers side window at the same time. The window got to a couple of inches from the top and stopped. Ever since then, the window opens and closes normally, but still stops a couple of inches from the top as if it thinks that is the closed position. It is not because it is jamming. I have tried all the reset suggestions on You Tube (holding button for 10 seconds / slamming door whilst holding button) and they have no effect.
Can anyone help me with this?

Fantastic! I disconnected the battery for a while as advised and the window closed fully on the next attempt. Many thanks!

The window would stay open for 2 reasons; mechanical, i.e. its stuck, or electrical, i.e. it thinks its shut.
Mechanical: Lubricate the rubber runners of the window with silicone spray or a little vegetable oil. also try to spray lubricate the mechanism by removing the door card for access; this would also allow visibility of the mechanism whilst operating the door.
Electrical: Disconnect the battery and leave for at least 1/2 an hour this will "wipe" any faulty logic that may have occurred. Reconnect the battery and operate the window again, if the problem still exists try the reset procedure you mentioned.
