dish washer?

when pulling the dish washer basket -out it getup on the side panel it the strip of metal running down the side needs re-welding ?? if I put self tap in will it leak ?

You could try a self - tap but do make sure it is stainless steel. Maybe use a dob of silicone under the head before you tighten it
