Zanussi tumble dryer TD 520?

We have got replacement catch for this old tumble dryer. The front fitting on the main body has two screws but these don’t seem to release the catch. Do I need to take top off the dryer to get down inside?

I may be wrong, but I thought the female part of the catch assembly on these machines simply press fits into the panel.. does the new part have any screw holes or just plastic tangs? It may be a case of prising the old part out and popping new one in. You may have unscrewed the micro-switch in error which will now have to be recovered and refitted.
