an RH K2R kettle element has died ?

My beloved Russell Hobbs K2R kettle element has died after many years of faithful service. As I had a spare element in my shed, I took out the old one and connected up the spare et voila, I was able to boil the water to make some tea again.
Your website says that you can repair or fix anything but can you make my (deceased) element come alive again if I post it down to you?
As an alternative, do you know the name of a supplier who could sell a new element to me please?

Hi Michael, You're more than welcome and thank you for the update too. I'll keep an eye out for any potential suppliers and will post the details if I find one at some stage, so may be worth checking this thread again in the future. Long live your RH!

Yes ... I went onto that site early this morning and bought it ... saw the advert yesterday too but didn't dare wait any longer ... apart from the element, not too sure what I'll do with the rest of the kettle, maybe I'll keep it and take off whatever I need if my kettle goes 'pop' or I'll strip it down and sell the parts but then sod's law says if I do that, my own kettle will certainly go pop so think maybe I'll stick to my former plan. We shall see!
Regards ... Michael.

Hello Rupert, thank you for responding so quickly ... like yourself, I too couldn't find any K2R elements available for sale either ... very frustrating. Yesterday, again like yourself, I also spotted the same ebay advert except that the ebay number didn't mean anything then but I went onto that site and immediately recognised the kettle ad. Bottom line was, this morning, I bought it ... okay, my kettle is working well, just needs an element but I've no regrets in buying rather more than I need so I'm well pleased. Many thanks for your suggestion, much appreciated indeed. Take care.

Out of curiosity, I've done a search for the element you need and have not come up with anything currently available. I did however find a complete working K2R for sale on ebay that you could buy and strip for parts - Search ebay UK for item number 333402390582 to see this particular one.
