How can I fix my Cannon Carrick double oven cooker?

Hi, I have a Cannon Carrick double oven cooker with a problem. The top oven flame is lighting but not increasing or heating to whatever gas mark I put it on. The bottom oven is working fine. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your reply and advice Rupert, it's much appreciated. I've had a look and the thermocouple looks in the right place so it sounds likely it's failed. I'll get looking for a replacement! All the best,

You may have a problem with the Thermocouple. It is a little probe that sits in the flame and when functioning correctly allows the burner to go to the next stage and prevents gas leaking if flame goes out. You will probably need to replace this fairly inexpensive part, but double check that the one you have got has not been bent back out of the flame and therefore not being heated up to the right temperature. Compare the faultly burner to the one that is working to see if you can spot a difference when it comes to the location of the probe.
