Frister and Rossman trips RCD?

My FR trips the RCD when you press the foot pedal. So I replaced the motor, this did not fix the problem.

I now suspect the foot pedal. Has any one experienced this before, or any other suggestions on how to fix it.

I've measured the resistance of the capacitor and it seems open circuit, but this should not stop it from working.

Hi Steve I had this problem a few years ago also. Is it an old model? Mine is model 45. I found this advice for the foot pedal "The suppressor in the control has blown, it looks like a fuse, take it out and discard, they are not needed these days." It works fine.
