Is it likely my resistor pack and heater blower have both gone?

My 1996 Renault Laguna 1.8l RT heater has stopped completely, nothing on setting 1-4 except a dimming of dash lights on setting four. Fuse is fine, switch is fine. approximately 300mV out on setting 1-3, 12V on setting 4 still no motor movement! Is it likely the resistor pack and motor have gone? 300mV on setting 1-3 seems unlikely, I was expecting something like 3,6 & 9V. Incidentally, the dash clock has gone off during my faffing! Oddly enough, the radio is fine.

Further to yesterday, now all sorted. S/H fan and resistor pack from the breakers, 25 quid, half an hour!
Best wishes
Ken.

Hi Andy, my 96 Laguna blower has packed up on all settings, so I'm just investigating now. What I have found is that you can unscrew the blower assembly easily, just remove the foam guard under the glove box, then the blower assembly comes out with a turn clockwise, looking from below. Unplug the connector and put 12V across the motor terminals. If the motor is OK, then obviously it will spin round. Check the wires both ways though! That's as far as I've got, but it has ruled out my motor, which is fine. Regards, Ken.
