how do i fix an AEG machine with code C7 on it?

My AEG 88730 update washing machine has come up with the code C7 on it and lots of lights are flashing, i have switched it off and on and it doesn't clear - what is the problem?

element faulty or could just be wiring to the element reqs new connectors,at back of machine near the bottom of tub,once sorted fault will clear,jake.
