Tuning?

I know how to tune my drums, i use remo and evans, drum heads, but how can i get them to sound like professional drum sets, my bass drum doesnt sound like others, how can i tune them to make it sound like other Tama drum sets

I have a sound percussion, it is made by tama drums, 8piece drum set.
How can i tune this set to make it sound good?

Drums can sound different depending where you are playing ng whether the floor is of carpet or wood

Hi Justin,

I think that if you have been tuning your toms properly and not muffling them then your drums are already making the great sounds. Often we as drummers don't get to appreciate the sounds of our own drums!

Another factor to consider is that whilst your drumset may sound lively and ringy when it's set up at home, other musicians playing wll completely drown all that out and your kit will sing.

The best thing to do is to make sure the drums are in tune with themselves and each other, if that's balanced, then it's right. I go into it in a little detail in the creative tuning section on http://www.tunadrum.com or my other site www.drumdojo.com

Hope this has been useful

Cheers

Paul
