my shower does not heat up like it used to. gainsborough regent 111?

on my aged shower,the water does not
heat up as it used to, it only runs barely warm when it used to
work fine . Is there anything i can do to remedy this?

poss heating element on it way out. or limescale over the years on the element preventing it from heating the water.
