Glen Dimplex Oil Filled Heater OFC2000 2KW?

Oil Filled Heating Unit Glen Dimplex model OFC2000 2000W?Doesn't heat up .
How I fixed.
Not the power plug fuse or cable. Unplugged,
Opened it , 2 philips crews one end and 1 screw under a white plastic cap located centrally above the Rotary temperature regulator. Use a fine tip screwdriver or pin to prise that white cap off. Visually examine. The tilt switch was visibly broken, disfigured. I disassembled the small switch assembly, then prised the actual switch itself open, carefully, using a players, I pulled it back to correct shape. Used a multimeter to test it functioned ok. Put it back together. Used a spot of gorilla glue to hold the switch together and prevent re occurance. Reassembled the heater. It worked again. Took 2 hours. Hope this helps.

Clarification.. the tilt switch is the device with a hanging heavy cylindrical shaped capsule attached. The heavy weight capsule swings and activates the microswitch when the heater is not positioned upright. In normal operation / heater orientation the switch is not activeated ie it is normally open. Its a safety feature. gerry kenny
