my Frister Rosman cub 4 cable with foot pedal is now continuously running when switched on. In other words the machine does not respond to the foot pedal to stop. Any ideas?

There's a capacitor inside the foot controller which has likely failed.its only there to suppress radio interference and isn't strictly necessary for the machine to function.
