How can I fix my TS8000 paper shredder?

The paper shredder will reverse, but will not allow paper to be fed through it to be shred. It turns on, there's power, but no feeding motion to actually shred the documents.

There's a little lever in the throat if most shredders, which starts the machine when it is switched to forwards and papers ar pushed in. It's very likely the lever has been damaged, probably by someone ham fisted trying to clear a jam by reversing the machine.

It's highly unlikely you will be able to get a spare part. You might, repeat might, be able to join the broken part back on but it'll likely need (immensely carefully) to drill a hole in each part, to allow a splint to be glued in place (probably a bit of paperclip bonded in place with an epoxy glue) . It worked for me once but it was a complete pain in the proverbials. I eventually got a new one and treated it a little more gently.
