Bosch tumble dryer with no heat?

Bosch WTA2000. The drum in turning, but there is no heat. I don't want to replace the heating ring at £90, if it could be something else. Any help, thank you.

My vent does not line up with the hole in the wall and as its too close to the wall the flexible tube does not give full ventilation can you get a stepped plastic insert to make the vent hole higher?

I have a Bosch wta2000 and the heating element had gone. Cost about 40 uk pounds to get part and was a bit awkward to fit but it solved the problem. However, before doing that make sure the thermostat is conducting electricity across the 2 wires. I have also replaced this in the past for about 12 quid.

I'm not familiar with the Bosch make, but search the 'Hotpoint CTD00' on this site and you'll find how to fix the same problem on those.
It may just be as simple as resetting the thermostat if that can be done.
