How can I solve the problem of heater plug warning light coming on?

The van is a 2.0TDI Ford transit, year 2001. After approx. 1 minute the heater plug warning light begins to flash. I have heard that a failed rear brake build can cause this and I have replaced a bulb which had failed but this made no difference.

The reason the light is coming on is because the vans ECU has found a fault, you will need to get the van plugged in at Fords and have the fault codes read to find out what the fault is.
