hi having problems wiring another phone line to my current bt phone socket have the colours changed?

Nope. You only need to wire pin 2 (blue and white) on the master socket to pin 2 on the extension box and pin 5 (white and blue) on the master socket to pin 5 on the extension box. Ignore all the others. None of them are currently needed by the UK phone system.
