I bought a chinese import scooter last april, the make is Benzhou and the model is a Yiying secutor 125t. The problem with it is it takes ages to start the thing about 30-40 kicks as it wont start from cold from the electric starter. Once I do get it going I then have to keep the revs up to about 3000 or the thing dies on me. It also seems to be revving high then low on idle and will rarely settle. I have checked the air filter which looks spotless, and Ive played about with the idle adjustment & Pilot screws on the carb to no avail! I use the scooter every day and need it for my work. Everything else seems to be okay, it's just the 5-10 mins to start it that is the problem.. someone pleeeaase help me!!

you need to check your valve clearances. the chinese brands are only set up to run for a few minutes in the fActory. with tight valves the exhaust gases cannot escape which causes bad running. have a look here for more help www.chinesescooterclub.com

the thing to do is make the main jet bigger or buy a bigger one,these scooters from china and taiwan are made to run so weak that they will not run well at all,its all done to keep the emissions down but hey w t f++k ,i would suggest making it bigger buy using some very small carb drills you can get them froma good diy shop you need to tell me the size of the main jet and ill tell you what to drill it to,also check the valve clearances as they have a habit of tightening up and closing the clearance up which in turn loses you compression ok.
