how can i fix my victa corsair 2 stroke?

how can i get my victa corsair 2 stroke mower tostart? iwas mowing the lawn when it started to rev slower and slower.i turned it off &cleaned the spark plug.it wouldnt start.i then pulled off the and cleaned out the float and the little yellow needle.i replaced everything in its correct place and tried tostartit. again it wouldnt start and i havent been able to start it since.any help would be most appreciated.

first check for spark at plug if there is a spark put some petrol down the plug hole and refit plug if it firesand then cuts out your problem is fuel

Where the throttle cable enters the carbie there are a couple of wires that short out (stop the mower) when the throttle
is pulled right back.When these touch the full spark is not achieved. The insulation/seperators break down so pull out one
(black wire into rubber boot in my case) and insulate it so it can never touch anything again .To stop the mower simply
turn off the fuel and wait for it to be used up (about 40 secs).
After several years of battling to start it , it now starts first time!
