How can I fix my ABS light?

I have a 1996 Ford Escort 1.8 Zetec, when i turn on the ignition, the airbag and ABS light goes out, but when I start the car the ABS light stays on. I have disconnected the battery and reconnected after 35 mins but the problem stays.

if the light stays on from the time u turn the ignition on then u need a new fuse

u need to take it to a garage that can plug the car in an change the code or reset it an then it will go off
