How do I repair a chip on my main stovetop?

I dropped something on my stovetop, and now there is a chip and it looks a little tacky. Is there any way to make it look a little better? The stove is only a year old, and I plan on having it for awhile.

Hi,
First buy Cataloy Knifing Putty{its for cars} its ready mixed
slightly roughen the damage area apply small amount to fill smooth, leave to harden one day.
note/ not overfill {100 gm tube Halfords} smaller if you can.
Then a very small tin of Humbrol Enamel {14 ml}. If its white get a lighter colour then the top because it will age darker.
Finally reduce the lighting in the kitchen to help not see it. Best of luck and don`t be so fussy, keep the Cataloy for your car if you park at SUPERMARKETS. Eric.

There is a national company trading under the name of the Plastic Surgeon, no good on face lifts but fab on repairs that can be sometimes blemish free. Hope this helps.
