WHEN I IGNITE MY GAS OVEN IT LIGHTS STRAIGHT AWAY BUT THE FLAMES STAY LOW EVEN WHEN OVEN IS ON 9 SO THE OVEN DOES'NT HEAT UP.IS THERE A THERMOCOUPLING ON A OVEN LIKE THERE IS ON A CENTRAL HEATING BOILER AND IF SO COULD THAT HAVE BROKE CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME AS I CANT REALLY AFFORD A NEW COOKER.I HAVE A CANNON 'STRATFORD' GAS COOKER. Hi Phil,
You have a faulty ffd.
It can only be replaced by a corgi registered engineer I'm afraid.
Please don't try it yourself, its potentially very dangerous.
Not even sure if the parts are still available but a good engineer will know.
