Dyson Service - DIY?

can anyone point me in the direction for information on servicing your own Dysons?

Have to agree 100% with Pete. As an engineer I always prefer to dismantle and fix things myself. In my case the brush motor had failed on my DC15 or so I thought. For £65 the engineer came out from Dyson and replaced motor, loom, brushes and corroded screws. He also applied all service modifications to date. If any of these fail within 1 year then there is NO CHARGE next time. If ANYTHING ELSE fails within 1 year then the charge to fix is just £25. A fantastic service!!

Hate to be a bore, but why not try Dyson direct ? They have a £65 fixed fee. Depends what the problem is but peace of mind that you'll get it fixed for £65 irrespecitve of problem is pretty powerful in my book. Dyson man came to fix our 9 yr old DC04 today - new motor, new HEPA filter and new power cord all for £65. On a popular spares website, a new motor would have cost me £35, new HEPA £20.............maybe I did not need the new power cord but basically I see it like I paid £10 labour.........and I am willing to pay that to save me the hassle and frustration of a self dis/re assembly !!!
