The engine management light comes on intermitantly :
On driving the E/M light comes on /car slows down (holds back)then may stall .
MAIN VAUXHAL DEALERS SAY NO FAULT CODES SHOWING .

where the air filter is attatached to the pleium chamber spelt something like that anyway undo the clip and your see throttle opening in there get carberetter cleaner and spray inside cleaing the gunk out as lot times these stick causing problems in idiling cutting out and also showing that dreaded light check air filter is also clean sorry abot spelling

i had the same problem and its really anoying. my problem was the coil pack near the battery on my astra. follow the middle lead from the distributor and you should find a little black box shape. what u need to do is change the module under neath it.it should be attached to a silver plate thats attached to the car body. my module was completly the wrong 1. if this doesn't work cheak everything to do with the ignition system. the module will cost around £30. my astra still does it sum times but it comes stright back on. (better than b4)
