Fitted oven (electric), Type - NEFF B1421

Fault - oven when switched on only gets warm and not hot as required, fan is working as you can hear it - so I wondered whether the element has broken, but if this was the case would it not heat up at all?

If it is the element - how easy is it to replace (I have minimal DIY skills)

Looks like a very helpful answer - and I have a similar'ish problem with my Neff oven. Lower oven works fine. Upper oven delivers no heat on either grill or oven setting. It is a U1421 oven.
When I turn the oven on to either grill or oven - the internal light oven comes on. However, the red temp light on the control panel does NOT come on, when you set the temp guage. Is this likely to be the element also - or should I be checking something else?

Hi David,

It sounds like the element has gone - switch it on again and double check the heat. It will give the impression of only getting warm when the element first goes because its just warm when you realise the oven isn't cooking.

Make sure you power off before repair:

1. Remove the back plate from inside the oven 4/6 screws - this will expose the element and fan blades.

2. Remove 3 screws holding the element in place.

3. carefully remove the element taking care not to pull of the wires until the element is free.
