how do you remove the battery in a vectra?

removed battery leads unable to move battrey it must be fixed somewhere
NO hope car mechanic, January 2007
there is a plate that holds the battery in place which slightly overlaps the base of the battery and bolts into the tray below.
undo the bolt/s, take out the small plate then you can remove the battery

Best bet spend £10 - 15 on a haynes manual, I always buy one for every car I have ever had. It pays for itself in no time, even jobs like replacing pads and discs which I would never have tried always get done now.

By the way, I had a vectra and that was the worst car I ever had (the bad apple) I hate vauxhall and now I have another one, the Zafira. Nice car for what it is but very poor mechanics. Impossible bulbs to get to and failing electrics. Other than that a nice car.

Good luck
