I need to find out what's wrong with my car?

I have 93 Civic Hatchback. I couldn't get it into any gear. It feels like I have no clutch atall even If I press all the way down. It starts and runs well. I just need to know if something is wrong with my transmissinon or my clutch.

your transmission should be fine - they are pretty good on the whole honda range. sounds like a clutch problem. i believe your car has a hydroulic clutch. firstly, check the clutch fluid level in the reservoir, get a friend to pump the clutch pedal and take a look under the bonnet. look for bubbling in the reservoir, if there is some you have air in the system, probably caused by the seals leaking on the slave cylinder on the gearbox look for fluid around it. while your friend pumps the pedal check for movement of the arm of the slave cylinder, if this is moving in and out ok then chances are your clutch has gone. shouldn't be a gearbox problem though.
