What is wrong with my DCO4 De Stijl the brush bar is not moving the belt is ok and the motor is running with plenty of suction coming out of the wand, when in the upright position. Can anyone tell me if I need to replace the brush bar or is it more sinister then that?

Hi Linda.

Ok on the front left hand side of your machine is a large knob next to this knob is written one or all of these. park, p, drive, on, off,
Make sure when you pull handle back to vacuum the floor the pointer on the knob moves to drive or on if it stuck in the p or off position rotate it by hand with handle pulled back.
If still no drive from brush then the motor to clutch belt has snapped this is not a particularly easy job to repair without instruction book or manual.
